There haven’t been any new drabbles since the end of July? Why?
It turns out I don’t have the time or energy to dedicate to the webzine so that you, the reader, get a high quality experience.
SpeckLit has been a labor of love for me because I believed that the world needed a venue for short short fiction.
However, I’ve always been a advocate of “do what you love” and a strong anti-advocate for doing things out of obligation. So, when my energy and enthusiasm started moving away from SpeckLit (due to changes in my day-to-day life), I knew it was time to step back before I stopped loving the webzine and started seeing it as a chore.
Many thanks to all those who have contributed in our nearly 3 year run! And if you’re new to SpeckLit, we hope you enjoy the extensive archive of excellent 100-word speculative fiction.
